A file can be attached to a project in BillQuick by clicking the Attachments option (previously called Link Files) on the Project-General screen.
From here, you can view, add or delete attachments to a project. BillQuick allows you to attach any file, with the exception of programs (.exe), folders or similar file types. Examples of attachable files:
- Portable Document Format (PDF)
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio
- Scanned documents (plans, drawings, etc.)
When you click on a file name, it opens in the native application (if it is installed on your computer). Files can be located anywhere on your computer or your company network, though BillQuick recommends electronic files be stored in a shared location on your network.
Note: To set your shared folder for attached files, go to Settings menu, User Preferences-Folders screen and specify the folder for Attachments.
