How do I set up abbreviated or shorthand codes in BillQuick and then use those in the memo fields?
You can set up abbreviated codes in the Auto Complete screen (Settings menu > Auto Complete). Once you do so, you can insert them in the memos for time entry, expenses, etc.
In this example, you can see a shorthand code 'AC' here. Next, when you enter a memo, say in the Time Entry screen, simply type 'AC' followed by a space bar or Enter. This replaces your abbreviation or shorthand code with the detailed description set up in the Auto Complete screen.
