When creating expense entries in BillQuick, user only sees some projects in the Project drop-down and cannot find the one needed.
This can happen if Security is turned on in BillQuick and your security settings for the Expense Log restrict you from viewing the projects that you do not manage. This is the default behavior for the Manager Level Access security profile and is controlled by the security option Allow access only to Expense Log of projects I manage. To gain access to all projects in Expense Log, you can ask your BillQuick Supervisor (or any other user with access to Security) to un-check this option in your security settings by following these steps:
- Go to File tab > Settings > Security > Set Security.
- In the Security screen, select the employee from the drop-down whose security settings you want to modify.
- Now click on the module Expense Log and find the above security option under Permissions.
- Un-check this option and save the changes.
You can now access all projects in the Expense Log.
Note: A similar security option (Allow access only to Time Entries of projects I manage) exists for the Time Entry module and un-checking it gives you access to all projects in the time entry screens instead of just the ones you manage.
